The United Naga Council (UNC) is all set to start its ten day long economic blockade along the National Highway beginning from 5 am tomorrow.
UNC volunteers and its leaders have now gathered at Senapati led by UNC president-in-charge Puni Modoli for the purpose.
Interacting with NNN today Puni Modoli said that there would be all out effort to ensure that the ten day economic blockade is successful.
After the ten day economic blockade indefinite total blockade would be followed in the event of the Manipur Government's failure to address the issue by withdrawing the September 18, 2003 Manipur cabinet decision on the 2001 Census reports matter, said the UNC leader.
Meanwhile, the South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has demanded the resignation of all the Naga ministers and MLAs in Manipur Assembly for failure to stop Govt from dismissing the Census reports of 2001.SNUNS general secretary C Daipao said today that the Naga ministers and MLAs are part of the Govt who took the decision to dismiss the census reports of 2001 in some areas of Manipur for which reason these politicians were keeping silent.
