Imphal, September 15 2016:
Policy has been formulated by the officials concerned of every district to touch 100 per cent mark in the immunization of children by 2030 .
The policy was formulated on the second day of a three-day workshop on developing district social change behaviour communication strategies on routine immunization which is being organised jointly by National Health Mission and UNICEF, Guwahati at Imphal Hotel.

UNICEF, North East Consulate Dr Pravinkumar said, "Awareness programmes on child immunization should be held in remote areas of the State in order to clear any misinformation on immunization.
In order to conduct the programmes successfully, officials of the department concerned should seek co-operation from ASHAs, Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), Anganwadi workers, village heads, religious leaders and local CSOs" .
Officials concerned of all the districts were also imparted how to implement the formulated policy.
In Kwakta, only 50 per cent of children were immunized.
Therefore, relentless effort will be made to increase the level of children immunization by upto 90 per cent by 2018 .
Initiatives will also be undertaken to improve other health care services in the area.
