Fraud social worker arrested

Imphal, August 12 2011:
Self styled social worker Jose Thomas from Kerala who recruited social workers in the name of Nehru Peace Foundation has been arrested by police from Langmeidong, Thoubal district.
Suspecting his indulgence in acts of fraudulence, Social Welfare Department filed a complaint against 36 year old Jose Thomas at Imphal police station.
Jose Thomas fled away from Hotel Classic in the morning of August 7.He was arrested from Langmeidong this afternoon.
He recruited around 50 social workers with the promise that they would be given Rs 25,000 per month for introducing every 15 students and also a two-wheeler each.
