Naga bodies to fight against SHDDC's demand

The NPO, Senapati said it seriously views the situation considering the intensity and indifferent attitude of the O Ibobi led State government in handling the prevailing situation in Sadar Hills.
In an 'emergency general body meeting' today at Indoor Stadium, Senapati district H/Q.attended by over 80 'revenue' Naga villages in Senapati district, the NPO federating unit presidents, SDWA, SDSA, village chiefs, public leaders, different organizations and village chairmen and secretaries
attended the meeting.
The conclave endorsed the "Joint NPO's Presidential Council and Executive Council's" decision to safeguard every inch of the Nagas ancestral domain and boundaries.
Strongly re-affirming the MoU in spirit and letter signed between representatives of Naga organizations UNC, NSF and ANSAM and Manipur government in 1981, 1992, 1996, 1998, the meeting unanimously resolved to endorse it unconditionally, the NPO stated.
"Asking the State government to cease partial moves in dealing the volatile situation, the house in strongest term condemns any hidden agendas and communal designs.
It also decided to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister to remind the MoUs and demand to safeguard all agreements without any prejudice treatment of the issue.
The house decided to fight against any redrawing Naga areas in Senapati district," the NPO press communique said.
