Imphal, August 12 2011:
Outrightly rejecting the news report that two cadres of United Tribals Liberation Army (UTLA) were among several activists of different armed groups who surrendered to the Government on August 10 at the Mantripukhri headquarters of IGAR (S), UTLA defence secretary PF Boy asserted that the report is merely a propaganda propagated by the Government of Manipur to undermine the armed group.
In a statement issued today, the defence secretary affirmed that rather than bow down to the Government of India UTLA will sustain its campaign to uphold interest and aspiration of the tribal people in the entire North Eastern region.
The UTLA also dismissed one Kaikhokam Singson alias SK Thadou, who claimed to be the outfit's organising secretary, as a bogus element and that the individual was never a cadre or member of the UTLA organising committee.
While condemning SK Thadou for his nefarious intention and activities, the defence secretary also cautioned the general public to remain vigil in order to thwart devilish intention of individuals such as SK Thadou.
