Imphal, July 12, 2013:
A distance learning programme through EduSat on �Basics of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System and global Navigation Satellite System� will be organised at Manipur Vigyan Prasar SIT, Manipur Science Aquarium Complex, DM College Campus, Imphal from Aug 5 to Nov 4 during 4 pm to 5.30 pm, informed a statement issued by Th Surendranath Singh, Director Manipur Science & Technology Council, central Jail Road Imphal.
The programme will cover four modules� Remote Sensing (RS) and Digital Image Analysis, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Geographical Information system (GIS) and RS & GIS Applications which will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun Department of Space, Government of India.
It said, the intake capacity will be of 25 numbers on first come first basis, and there will be enrolment fee of Rs 500 per head.
The study materials and apllication software will be supplied.
Interested students of undergraduate final year, post graduate, researchers and faculty members of University/Institutions may submit the application forms forwarded by the head of the institutions before July 31 .
