Spi/Tpl, April 07 2022: The Higher Secondary Examination 2022 conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) began on Thursday in various examination centres across the state following strict Covid guidelines.

A total of 24,400 students are reportedly appearing in the examination, out of which 8,203 are from Arts, 19,629 from Science and 568 from Commerce stream.

In Senapati district, 1,393 candidates are appearing in the examination at five different centres including 472 candidates at Mt Pisgah Hr Sec, Senapati; 228 candidates at Don Bosco Hr Sec, Senapati; 129 candidates at Don Bosco Hr Sec, Punanamei, Mao; 438 candidates at Don Bosco Hr Sec, Maram and 126 candidates at Asufii Christian Institute, Punanamei, Mao.

It may be mentioned that Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and its federating units are inspecting different centres to ensure free and fair examination.

In Moreh, 126 candidates are appearing in the examination at two centres- Moreh College, Moreh and Moreh Government Higher Secondary School.

Out of which, 121 students appeared for the examination on Thursday while 5 were absent.
