The Pradhan of Changamdabi Gram Panchayat under Andro Assembly Constituency has alleged swindled a huge amount of fund sanctioned for development of the Gram Panchayat.

The amount of the fund swindled by the Pradhan related to various work programmes sponsored by the Centre and the State Government from 2008-09 to 2010-2011, Ayub Khan pointed out.
He further pointed out apart from providing job for some days in 2008, most of the job card holders in the Gram Panchayat have not been given any job till date and adequate wages have not been paid even for the number of days work have been performed in 2008.There are in all 1110 job card holders in the Gram Panchayat.
In addition to this, it has also been found out through RTI application that the Pradhan withdrew a huge amount of fund sanctioned under State Finance Department during 2010-2011 for construction of waiting shed and road repairing without executing any of these works, Ayub Khan disclosed.
While none of the beneficiaries under Indira Awaz Yojana have been given any benefit though the fund had been provided, there has been no sign of construction of any Anganwadi buildings under Social Welfare Department despite withdrawal of the sanctioned fund.
