Zeliangrong frontal organisations while expressing concern over the Wungram Colony incident of April 22 in Dimapur, said Nagas are together by blood and not by choice and that "blood is thicker than water".
The Zeliangrong Union of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland (ZU-AMN), All Zeliangrong Students Union (AZSU), Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) and Zeliangrong Women Union (ZWU) have termed the April 22 incident as " moment of shameful manifestation of sinister design" and appealed to all concerned to remain calm, exercise restrain and use maximum wisdom at this juncture.
The organisations asserted that "minor and insignificant matter should never lead us to such a state of insanity".
The Joint statement of the Zeliangrong community also said every Naga should respect the rights and dignity of each and every Nagas " before we demand other communities to respect our rights and dignity".
Along with the condemnation statement on the Wungram Colony arson, the bodies advised that whatever problem may exist among the Nagas, it should be settled only through peaceful talks and negotiations.
It also consoled the Nagas not to be dismayed at this critical moment.
