the State.
Stressing on the importance of strengthening NGOs working in the State, the Minister also acknowledged the contribution of CAPART towards this end.
Saying that it would be a gross mistake to claim that Manipur has developed only by seeing some development works in the capital town, Allaudin maintained that the SPG Government has been taking special initiatives for rural and hill areas.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Govindas Konthoujam observed that consequent upon the failure of the NGOs to discharge the functions properly, people are unaware of the basic activities of some of the NGOs established with the objective of contributing towards economic upliftment of the State.
In the afternoon technical session, many resource persons spoke on different topics.
CAPART convenor S Bhattaracharyya dealt in length on the responsibilities to be shouldered by NGOs implementing projects under CAPART.
