Reacting to news report with regard to the shelved rally in Sagang area, Women's Association for Social Development, Chairen Mangjin has clarified that no abusive words or derogatory remarks were passed by the 7 Assam Rifles Major, as was reported in the State dailies today.The rally stopped after a mutual understanding was arrived at during a meeting between local meira paibis, Major Jitender and an official of the nearby BSF post, it maintained.The rally was supposed to be taken out to protest arrest of some individuals but on dissemination of information by the Major regarding genesis of the arrests the rally plan was shelved.
