Imphal, January 04 2017:
As part of the observance of the birth anniversary of former Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee, BJP, Andro Mandal today organised a Good Governance Day programme at Yairipok Yambem.
The programme was graced by Thongju AC MLA Th Bishwajit, BJP, Andro Mandal president Kh Subol, Upliftment Committee, Ando AC president Md Fakruddin, BJP intending candidate Dr Nimaichand Luwang and local elders as presidium members.
Speaking at the programme, Th Bishwajit alleged that the State Government, in order to cover its wrongdoings, has been targeting BJP in every possible way.
Though some leaders of BJP have joined the Congress party for their personal gain, it will never weaken the strength of BJP, Manipur Pradesh.
He also claimed that BJP will record a thumping victory in the upcoming Assembly election and form a Government.
"Congress party has been claiming that the developmental schemes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi were all introduced by UPA Government.
When we look closely, we can evidently see that the schemes were first initiated when Atal Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister," he said.
He further alleged that there are many incomplete projects which have been inaugurated by the State Government and said that the State Government has misappropriated huge amount of fund meant for the welfare of the people and development of the State.
Commenting on UNC's economic blockade, Bishwajit said that blaming the Centre is baseless.
Economic blockades were imposed when UPA was in power at the Centre but the State Government led by Congress party did not utter any word against the Centre.
Dr Nimaichand Luwang blamed the State Government for all the hardships faced by the people and said that the present prevailing situation is due to the State Government's inefficiency.
