In order to ensure peaceful election, the Centre must take up all necessary steps to lift UNC's indefinite blockade immediately, he said.
If the economic blockade is not lifted, it could hamper the election particularly in the hill districts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and peace talk interlocutor RN Ravi should convince NSCN-IM to lift the economic blockade.
Moirangthem Tombi also added that supporters of UNC should not take advantage of the economic blockade and create hardships for people.
