NGO offers help to women in distress

An NGO called Young Women Help Organisation, Airport Road has announced that it would provide assistance to women victims of rape and all forms of domestic violence.
speaking to newspersons at its office today, Organisation secretary Arambam Robita affirmed that from this year on women who are in distress due to various factors may approach the NGO or contact at its help-line numbers 9774370452, 9863447894 to report atrocities committed against them for availing the assistance.
While confiding that the Organisation functions out of the income generated from sale of its monthly journal entitled 'Nupigi Punsi' having around 15,000 buyers on the average, she also affirmed that the Organisation will fight for protecting the right of the women in the relevant court of justice.
Further conveying that issues related to crime against women are being brought to the notice of women's commission or court of law, Robita also disclosed that her Organisation would be soon publishing a book entitled 'Keishum Shangi Bandi' .
She maintained that the NGO's fight for justice also covers extra-marital affairs of the husband.
