May Day observes widespread in Manipur

Various social organisations of the state at many places on May 1 observed the May Day which is also known as International Labours' Day.
The Coordination Committee of Trade Unions, Manipur which is a composite body AITUC, CITU, INTUC, TUCC, UTUCC and Federation of Employees and Teachers observed the day at GM Hall Imphal.
Labour and Employment minister Ph Parijat graced the function as chief guest.
MLA N Mangi, general secretary AITUC L Sotinkumar, general secretary INTUC Yumnam Ranapratap, Kshetrimayum Santa, K Bimol and K Manoranjan also attended as presidium members.
JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO also observed the day in its office chamber at Babupara.
Representatives of various departments of the state government, leaders of Manipur State Pensioners' Union, officials of Manipur Secretariat Services Association (MASA) and members of Council of Teachers' Association (COTA) also attended the observation.
The Social Volunteers' Association, Imphal, United Daily Labour Welfare Union, Konung Mamang, Life Watch, Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak (CLK), All Manipur Democratic Youth Front (AMDYF) and the Manipur Electricity Employees' Union (MEEU) also observed May Day at their respective offices.
