AMSU holds panel discussion

In connection with the Golden Jubilee Year of All Manipur Students' Union, a one day panel discussion programme was held at MIMS hall, Manipur University today.
Speaking at the programme, Dr Lokendra Arambam, former HOD, Audio Visual Research Centre, Manipur University, said that representatives of various communities of the State have been trying to divide the people which is unfortunate.
"Attempts to establish a separate entity for respective community is an act to divide the people of the State.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of past events are required to make the people come out of the self-delusive idea which propagates disharmony," he added.

AMSU president Sanasam Subhaschandra said that the people of Manipur irrespective of all the differences have been living together in peace.
However, instigation of outside elements has hampered the peaceful coexistence.
To restore peace and harmony, we should study the history and remind ourselves of the significance of oneness, Sanasam Subhas chandra said.
The panel discussion programme was also attended by Prof WC Singh, MIMS Department, Manipur University, Dr Thathang Vaiphei, Assistant Professor, Centre for Study of Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy, Manipur University, Dr Reheikuddin Sheikh, Director, DDU Kaushal Kendra Dhanaman juri Community College, DM College of Science and RK Bobichand, Director, Chang & Peace Building Action(CPA) .
