The fourth Indo-Myanmar Border Liaison Officers meeting was held from 11 am to 3 pm at Trade Centre here today.
Chandel DC Th Chittaranjan, Chandel SP E Priyokumar, SP of NAB S Amirlal Sharma, Custom Preventive Force (Moreh) SP RK Darendrajit Singh, ADC Moreh Lunminthang Haokip and ASP Moreh Y Ashokumar were in the Indian delegation.
Myanmarese delegation included Tamu DC U Kyan Zaw, LT Col Thet Mon of Col-266 LIR, Forest Department Assistant Director U Kyan Thein, SP Custom tamu U Kyi Oo, Immigration Department Deputy Director U Saw Naing and Tamu SP Pol Lt Col Linn Htut.
Myanmarese delegation urged the Indian authority to commence border fencing at Border Pillar No 78 to 79 after a mutual understanding/agreement between the two countries.

The delegation also notified the Indian officials that timbers are being transported from Tamu to saw mills in Indian side, close to International border during night time.
The Myanmarese officials also urged the Indian delegation to permit Myanmarese citizens in getting medical treatment on Indian side.
They also drew attention of the Indian delegation that many of the drug peddlers who were apprehended by Myanmar authority had revealed that drugs were brought from Moreh town.
Indian team urged the Myanmarese officials to issue identity cards printed in English to their citizens for entry into Indian territory.
Myanmarese citizens are currently allowed to enter upto 16 kms of Indian territory.
The Indian team also urged the Myanmarse officials not to allow to enter Indian VIPs with their vehicles upto Tamu without valid documents issued by Immigration Officer of India.
