The De-Malaria and Control Organization (India) will be observing Anti Malaria Months from May 25 to 31 October 2002 in the State.
A release while appealing to all the concerned not to organize road blockades or bandhs during the period, DCMO(I,) stated it can contain malaria in the State with the parenteral and logistics assistance and support of the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) and National Anti Malaria Programme (NAMP) wing, Manipur.
It also mentioned that DMCO(I)'s field and mobile units will be touring in-three malaria prone districts of Chandel, Churachandpur, Tamenglong and Jiribam sub-division under the direct supervision of its secretary general Ch Manoranjan.
Stating that the team will be providing free treatment to affected villagers in far flung remote areas, it also revealed that the mobile headquarters at Chakpikarong will function 24 hrs and monitor the situation.
