Naga Students Federation (NSF) reiterates stand

Naga Students Federation (NSF) has reiterated it stand to play a supportive role towards bringing an honourable, acceptable and workable settlement for the entire Nagas not compromising with its motto 'For Unified Lim and Glory of Nagas' .
It was resolved in a joint consultative meeting of senior leaders, federal and subordinate units held at Japhu Hotel on August 24, said a press release.
With regards to oil exploration, the house recommended for setting up of an expert committee to intensively study and review on the proposed modalities submitted by Grant Thornton Advisory Pvt.
Ltd, which was distributed by Cabinet Sub-Cabinet on PNG Government of Nagaland and the draft modality submitted by the Kyong Hoho to the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
On NE Exodus and the threat and atrocities meted to the Nagas and the NE people, the meeting resolved to call a 12-hour total bandh from 5 am to 5 pm on November 6 in all the Naga inhabited areas for enforcement in toto of the NESO resolution adopted at Guwahati on August 23 to impose total bandh in the entire North East region to express strong resentment on the threats, humiliation, mental and physical harassment and atrocities being meted out to the Northeast people in the different parts of mainland India.
The meeting also demanded for immediate taking up of comprehensive policies and actions to contain the problem.
The house also agreed to visit Kokrajhar and Dhubri district under Assam to express solidarity to the affected people in the ethnic clash.
