Urge DGP to take necessary action

Senapati, October 25:
The Poumai Tsiidoumai Me, PTM (Poumai Students Union ) has submitted a memorandum to the State DGP in connection with the case of the killing of L.Shelle for taking up necessary action within the next 24 hours, failing which the students body warned of taking up serious agitation.
While strongly condemning the brutal murder of a college student L.Shelle (26) s/o L.Lohrii of Saranamei village in Senapati district by unknown miscreants, the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA), supported by the Mao Students' Union, Zeliangrong Students' Union (Senapati Zone), Maram Students' Union, and the Thangal Students' Union, has in a statement today urged the Government to book the culprits at the earliest.
The statement issued by the information and publicity secretary of the SDSA, Peter Adani said that, in spite of the killing incident which had taken place on October 23 night it is sad to note that there is still no breakthrough to establish the miscreants.
Adani also, through his statement insisted the Govt to act fast in booking the assailants.
L.Shelle was found dead at Thongju Part-II, Kourou Loubuk under Singjamei police station in Imphal East on the morning of October 24. According to the SDSA, the deceased was a third year BA student of Liberal College and serving as a joint secretary of the college tribal students' union.
The corpse was found yesterday at a paddy field located about three and a half kilometre away from the Singjamei police station with injury marks believed to be caused by some sharp object.
Later the dead body has been identified as L.Shelle (26) s/o L.Lohrii of Soranamei village in Senapati district.
The person has been said to be a BA third year student of Liberal College, Imphal currently staying at Aenon village in Luwangsangbam Maning under Heingang PSin Imphal East district.
