NSUC submits memorandum to Health Minister

The Naga Students' Union Chamdil (NSUC) has submitted a memorandum to Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar asking for his intervention to 'put an end to premature transfers frequently taking place in the District Hospital Chandel' .
At present, the hospital lacks specialists.
There is no Orthopaedist, Ophthalmologist, Medicine, Gynaecologist, mentioned the memorandum and appealed the Minister for establishment of blood bank and CT scan facilities at the hospital.
There were few specialists doctors in the hospital in 2018 and they had conducted over 68 operations between September and December.
Their sudden transfers have left the hospital with no specialists to cater to the need of the people of the district, NSUC said.
The NSUC also sought the attention of the Minister about the ANM Nursing school under-construction in the district.
The nursing school is lying 'incomplete' and is in 'pathetic condition,' it said in the memorandum urging the Minister to 'view the matter on priority basis' for early completion of the building in the larger interest of the public.
