Imphal, August 29 2019: Moirang College thrashed MB College 5-1 while Kha Manipur College, Kakching edged past Kakching Khunou College 1-0 whereas CI College blanked DM College of Commerce 5-0 and Thoubal College got better off KP College in the kicks from penalty mark in the ongoing A Pratap Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Football Tournament for Men organized by YK College, Wangjing at Kodompokpi ground under the aegis of MU Sports Committee today.

The 14th match of the tournament saw scintillating performance from H Sailesh (31', 47', 56', 59') who have scored four successive goals after M Malquer Kom scored the opening goal in the 23rd minute to give Moirang College 5-1 win against MB College.

The lone goal for MB College was scored by Kh Zakariya in the 35th minute.

In the 2nd match, Kha Manipur College, Kakching had a narrow 1-0 win over Kakching Khunou College courtesy to Th Yaiphaba brace in the 32nd minute of the game.

In the 16th match, CI College proved to be tough opponent for DM College of Commerce who have conceded defeat by 0-5 goals in this very one-sided match.

CI College started the hammering through two goals from Kh Gyanendra in the 9th and 29th minute of the game while N Bipin further extended the lead to 4-0 with two successive goals in the 33rd and 40th minute of the match.

Then came the fifth goal again by Kh Gyanendra in the 60th minute to take home the match with 5-0 goals.

The last match of the day (18th match) saw tough fight between KP College and Thoubal College but the latter had the last laugh with 5-4 goals in the kicks from penalty mark after the match ended with 1-1 goals in regulation time.

Thoubal College had an early lead in the 7th minute after L Kumarjit found the back of the net and continued to lead till the end of the first-half at 1-0.But N Rosan of KP College found the equaliser in the 55th minute to level the score at 1-1.The match was eventually pushed to kicks from penalty mark to decide the winner.

In the decider, Thoubal College scored four goals through W Manglemba, M Ronaldo, W Arunkumar and Deepak whereas KP College scored only three goals through N Rosan, L Maheshkumar and O Asish.
