MU re-opens, exam results of some Sems declared

Following suspension of the 85 days old agitation of MUSU, MUTA and MUSA, Manipur University has been reopened from today and some departments have started declaring results of PG 1st semester and 2nd semester exams.
As announced yesterday, MUSU, MUTA, MUSA, representatives of local clubs and leaders of some civil society organisations reopened administrative block, examination block and different departments today.
But the Vice Chancellor's chamber and the Registrar's chamber are still kept locked.
Later in the evening, 1st and 3rd semester examination results of MA English, MA Philosophy (1st semester), MA Manipuri (3rd semester) and MA Sociology (1st semester) were announced.
Examinations of Master 2nd and 4th semesters of some departments could not be completed on account of the agitation launched since May 30 .
As the Government authorities and MU community have reached an understanding on certain conditions, 1st and 3rd semester sessions are likely to commence soon.
It is said that MU authority will make special arrangements so that pending examination results of Graduate courses can be declared as soon as possible.
