Paolun Tuboi, MCS passes away

Paolun Tuboi, a senior Manipur Civil Service (MCS) officer died yesterday at Shija Hospital in an apparent case of cardiac failure.
Born to Late Bumkhopao, an INA pensioner and the chief of M Bunglung Village in Saikul subdivision, on March 1, 1960, Paolun was a highly educated person majoring in two subjects Political Science and Law.
He started working at a young age as secretary of Old Boys' Hostel in DM College in 1976 going on to become a senior MCS in a career spanning for more than two decades.
He had been EM/Treasurer AMTSUM, President CSO (M), Treasurer/General Secretary SDCs' Assn.

He also worked as LDC in the Manipur Secretariat from 1979 to 81 and as SDC (direct recruit) in 1981.Later he was promoted to MCS in 2002 and to MCS Grd.

Towards the fag end of his career, he was given in-charge of posts such as Treasury Officer cum Assistant Commissioner, Dy.
Secy.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Dy.
Commissioner of State Taxation department, CEO of Zilla Parishad and Executive Director DRDA.
He passed away yesterday at about 6.50 am at Shija Hospital in Langol surrounded by his wife Rita, his four children and loved and near ones.
The Doungel Inpi, Headquarter Asian and Chengjapao Doungel Kuki Raja Foundation (CDKRaF) have expressed their profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Paolun Tuboi.
In a condolence message, CDKRaF said that Paolun was a dedicated, noble and hardworking officer.
His life and work had a very high moral standard and he lived in simplicity, he will continue to inspire civil servants in future, the message expresses.
Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai has expressed its heartfelt condolence at the sudden and untimely demise of Paolun Tuboi.
"He was an honest and sincere officer, who had rendered his service efficiently throughout his career.
His death is a great loss to the people of Saikul in particular and the state in general," said Kuki Inpi, Saikul president Thangkam Lupheng.
