Imphal, August 29:
Explaining its stand on a number of issues, the proscribed KCP (P) today said that it has taken up the fight against drugs and alcohol for the future of the land.
In a statement, the outfit said that the younger generation need to be saved from the clutches of drugs and alcohol as that is the only way to fight for the lost freedom of the land.
A destroyed and morally depraved younger generation can never take up the cause of the land, said the outfit and urged all to understand and fight the menace of drugs and alcohol.
India has let loose a policy to lure the youngsters to the deadly trap of drugs and alcohol and the KCP will do its best to defeat the agenda of the Indian Government, it added.
On the restrictions placed on digital films, the outfit said that films should reflect the social reality of the place.
It was with pride that KCP witnessed the development of digital films, but the manner in which digital films have portrayed the Manipuri society is not for the good of society.
Film is an art and art should encourage the creativity of the people and not promote sensationalism.
Alien culture which are depicted in the digital films have the potential to show the people in the wrong light and it also exposes the people's dependence on everything foreign, said the statement.
KCP has also kept a close tab on the conduct of doctors, for it has become clear that money is today the driving force behind every doctor.
Poor patients are not treated well at all while the moneyed class and those with high connections are given the preference.
It is this ill that the KCP (P) wants to fight and neutralise.
To earn quick money, patients are mostly told to come to the residence of the doctor or the clinic where they charge more, said KCP and added that all doctors should fix the consultation fees at Rs 25.
