Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar said he was deeply impressed on seeing the high level of quality services rendered to the critical patients here in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) of the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) by doctors and nurses.
Making his maiden visit to the CCU on Saturday after assuming his gubernatorial post in the State, the new Governor disclosed that the discipline and system followed here in the CCU was exemplary for the fact that he had to remove his shoes before entering the Unit.
However this was hardly done in other ICUs in the country especially for those VVIPs like him (as governor).
"I am really impressed on seeing many things maintained here which are hardly done in other ICUs in the country," he stated.

After visiting the ICU ward, Kumar acknowledged the high level of quality services rendered to the critical patients at relatively low cost comparing to other ICUs in the country.
The Governor also expressed his genuine concern for the overall development of the hospital and further enquired the areas where they needed to pay more attention.
He told doctors not to shy away in sharing their problem facing in the hospital.
"I assure you we will certainly do to reduce those inadequacies," he said.
"My general idea is to see to improve the overall functioning of the hospital" .
The Governor also expressed his happiness on the peaceful Christmas celebrations with least accidents reported.
Describing as wonderful the New Year they celebrated, he hoped if the trend continued, the state would be marching for a greater height of development.
He also thanked the Hospital officials, staffs, doctors and nurses for according him a warm welcome.
Earlier, he was briefed about the activities of the hospital with slide shows by Superintendent of the NHAK Dr Nandira.
Commissioner and Secretary, H and FW, Menukhol John, Managing Director, NHAK, Dr L Angami, senior doctors and officials of the NHAK are among others who attended the briefing program.
