Monolith on Putsolie laid in grand manner

Putsolie, one of the greatest and wealthiest sons of Kohima Village, has been remembered today in a grand function called Putsolie Tsietha Nyi 2013 (Putsolie Monolith Laying Function 2013) here at the Agri-Link Road below Naga Hospital.
Giving brief history of Putsolie, Vizetuo Solo, Chairman, Organizing Committee of Putsolie Tsietha Nyi 2013, recalled that the former was one of the wealthiest persons in Kohima Village by the grace of God.
"He (Putsolie) had vast landed properties, fields, overflowing granaries and cattle," he said.
In return for the blessings bestowed upon him, he performed all the mandatory rituals as demanded of a person of his status such as the feast of merit, various rites and rituals, erecting monoliths, digging lakes by involving the whole Village people so as to appease the spirits.

"Putsolie's legacy stands to this day in the monoliths seen at T Khel Kohima Village and Ser�zou (V�rie) Road," Solo added saying the "fame and deeds" of Putsolie were recorded in the form of "poetry and folk songs which are still sung today in his remembrance" .
As such in remembrance of Putsolie, another Monolith was erected today in a grand function here at the Agri-Link Road below Naga Hospital today.
Neila-o Suohu, GB of T Khel of Kohima Village, unveiled this historic Monolith.
Earlier, renowned singer Methaneilie Solo (J�takhrie) also enthralled the gathering with his popular numbers.
Large number of well-wishers, clans, Khel peoples from the Kohima Village attended the function.
NPF candidate of 10 Northern Angami-I Khreihu Liezietsu and Kohima Town Independent Candidate, APO President, high ranking Angami officials were among others who attended the function.
