Before the area was flooded, SP Kono and his wife went to their terraced farm for cultivation of crops by halting the nights there.
As their food stocks ran out, Kono left his wife at the farm and came to his home to get more food materials but he was carried away by the strong current of Chakpi river.
People who were present on the river bank tried to stop Kono but he went into the river saying that nothing would happen to him, informed a source.
