Nine positive cases detected

Imphal, April 03 2021:
With nine new positive cases detected during the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has climbed to 60 .
A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that nine civilians belonging to Imphal East (3), Imphal West (4), Kakching (1) and Ukhrul (1) were tested positive at RIMS, JNIMS, Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics.
Following recovery, six COVID-19 positive persons were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,415 (general population 25,969 and Central security personnel 3,446) .
This figure includes 60 active cases (general population 51 and Central security personnel 9) and 28,981 recovered cases (general population 25,548 and Central security personnel 3,433) .
While the death toll stands unchanged at 374 as there was no report of COVID related death during the last 24 hours, the recovery rate as on Saturday is 98.52 per cent.
Air passengers who came to the State on April 1 by Indigo flight 6E-6353 in rows 20 to 26 have been informed to report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers.
Meanwhile, the cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the State has reached 86,740 after 32 more were inoculated yesterday.
The cumulative figure is inclusive of 31,625 health care workers.
