Two fatalities, 11 new cases in Bishnupur

Imphal, September 06 2021: After witnessing a downward trend of Covid-19 cases and fatalities in Bishnupur district, two COVID-19 deaths were reported in the district on Monday taking its total toll to 267.A release by district information officer Bishnupur informed that 11 new cases of Covid were also reported Monday consequently raising the number of active cases to 166.The new cases included 165 from among the general population and one' member of CAPF.

Among the 166 active cases, 63 are quarantining at community isolation .

centres, 43 in home isolation, 35 at hospitals outside the district, 19 at Covid isolation ward Loukoipat Bishnupur and six at CCC Ningthoukhong, said the release, adding that there are no more patients admitted in high dependency unit and emergency ward of the district hospital.

Of the patients hospitalised, eight are said to be on oxygen support.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Bishnupur has reached 8807 out of which 8374 have recovered.

The release also informed that 14 people were vaccinated on Sunday taking the total number of vaccinated persons to 1,53,116 including 27,935 who have received both doses.
