Uripok body sets rules for street vendors

Imphal, September 06 2021:
Uripok Apunba Lup (UAL) informed that shop owners, salesmen, street vendors and drivers of passenger vehicles operating in Uripok area must possess COVID-19 vaccination final certificate or COVID-19 negative report of past 72 hours to begin business/service.
The Lup appealed to drivers of passenger and goods carriers operating in Uripok area to follow the same rules with immediate effect.
It also appealed to shop owners, -salesmen and street vendors in Uripok area who have received first dose of COVID-19 vaccine but awaiting second dose to possess COVID-19 negative report of past 72 hours.
It further informed that COVID-19 testing may be done free of cost at Yes Charitable Health & Research Centre located at Uripok Ahanthem Leikai.
Volunteers of the Lup will begin checking of shop owners, salesmen, street vendors and drivers to ascertain whether they follow the rules or not, a statement of UAL said and appealed to people to support the initiative taken up by the Lup to prevent spread of COVID-19 from or in Uripok area.
