Imphal, July 19 2019: Divisional Railway Manager, Lumding, Ram Bahadur Rai has assured to complete the Railway project taken up in the State by 2022.This was said by Meitram Guna Singh, members of Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC), Lumding Division during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club, today.

Stating that the assurance was given at the 23rd DRUCC meeting, chaired by Ram Bahadur Rai and participated by officials from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland and Manipur, of NF Railway Lumding Division held at the conference hall of NF Railway on July 11, he said that the authority concerned has also approved to open a rail ticket counter at Jiribam.

Ram Bahadur Rai had also assured that the compensation for affected land owners will be provided at the earliest, Guna said, informing that the Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal will visit the State to inspect the Railway project soon.
