State BJP meets Union Home Minister Hunt for Manipuris in trains highlighted

After expelled RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav's supporters halted long distance trains at various stations in Bihar to protest the alleged violence against Biharis in Manipur, a team of Manipur State BJP unit led by its president Th Chaoba met Union Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh and other officials to discuss the issue at North Block, Cabinet Secretariat New Delhi this evening.
General Secretary (Adm) BJP Manipur Unit, M Asnikumar informed The Sangai Express, that the State team clarified that no violence was meted out to Bihari labourers in Manipur.
He stated that the Union Minister took serious note of the comments made by Pappu Yadav and gave assurance that all forms of preventive measures would be taken up to safeguard travellers from Manipur.

Asnikumar further said that the State BJP team also met the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, Union Home Secretary, Special Secretary as well as Internal Security of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Doner Minister Dr Jitendra.
The meeting discussed the act of halting long distance trains in search of Manipuri passengers by supporters of Pappu Yadav.
Union Ministers assured that the issue will be dealt with properly and no harm would be done to the Manipuris, Asnikumar conveyed.
The authorities concerned of Bihar were also advised by the Union Ministers, he added.
