NPF divisions laud four NPF MLAs

Naga Peoples' Front (NPF) Ukhrul and Tamenglong divisions have lauded the four NPF MLAs for taking a bold decision on resigning from the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
In press statement, NPF Ukhrul Division President Wungnaoshang A Shimray and General Secretary Yongmi Ronra Shimray slammed the Congress led Manipur Government for not observing "democratic norms and procedure" while passing the three controversial Bills on the floor of the Assembly on August 31.The State Government has failed to maintain "neutrality" when it came to the question of banning internet and mobile SMS services in the State, alleged NPF Ukhrul Division and pointed out that the State Government had a tendency of "accommodating the voice of majority" while ignoring the voice of the tribal communities.
NPF workers of Ukhrul District have also lauded that the MLAs who has submitted their resignation clearly understood the "aspiration and the wishes" of the people whom they were representing.
NPF Ukhrul Division also conveyed condolence message to the family members of nine "tribal martyrs" who were killed during the protest in Churachandpur.
Meanwhile, NPF Tamenglong Division President Ashang Pame said the four MLAs have testified their interest in fighting for the tribal people.
Acknowledging the bold decision of the four MLAs, NPF Tamenglong Division also condemned the "using of live bullets" and killing of nine protesters in Churachandpur.
They also shared the sorrow of the family members of the "tribal martyrs." The Division called upon the tribal communities to be "united" in protecting "our rights" .
