Many call for upholding integrity on AMKIL's 15th foundation day

Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) has observed its 15th foundation day on Tuesday at Lamyanba Shanglen in Palace Compound.
Speaking on the observation, United Committee Manipur (UCM) president Elangbam Johnson said that the anger and dissatisfaction shown by the hill people against the three bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31 is due to misunderstanding.
The three bills consist anything that can harm even a single hair of the tribal people, said Johnson while expressing the urgent need for holding talks to clear the air.

Chief guest of the function, Freedom editor RK Ranendrajit appraised the role of women in a society and expressed his satisfaction on AMKIL's responsibility in many movements in Manipur.
On the ongoing protest by the hill people, RK Ranendrajit said that all people of the State need to go together irrespective of hill and valley.
Everyone should be united to bring a developed Manipuri society, said the Freedom editor and urged all to stand together till the end.
AMKIL president Ph Sakhi took the chair as president on the occasion where All Manipur Women's Social Reformation Development Samaj (AMWSRDS) secretary Th Ramani, All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup president S Momon and other representatives of Civil Society Organisations were also present and paid tribute to late Sapam Robinhood.
