LNC Senapati Zone flays Bills

The Liangmai Naga Council, Senapati zone has expressed strong disapproval of the three Bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31 .
A joint session held by Liangmai villages chiefs, chairmen, student leaders, youth leaders and intellectuals of Liangmai Nagas, discussed the present political situation in Manipur.
The new Bills, LNC has claimed, infringe upon the rights of the tribals and their land.
LNC has also condemned the Churachandpur violence and the resultant loss of nine lives.
The gathering paid homage to the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for tribal rights.
The council further hailed the four NPF MLAs who have resigned from the Manipur Legislative Assembly with effect from September 4 .
Liangmai Churches in the jurisdiction of LNC, Senapati Zone would conduct a mass prayer session on Sunday for the tribal martyrs, the bereaved families and those going treatment at different hospitals, a statement issued by the LNC chairman stated.
