MAFYF Youth marchers reach Seijang

Imphal, April 25: The second Manipur Youth March 2008 being organised by the Manipur Forward Youth Front (MAFYF) has reached Seijang in Imphal East district today.

Talking about the march which was flagged off from Awang Sekmai on April 16, MAFYF president Sapamcha Kangleipal said that the basic messages of the Youth March are "Stop atrocities of security forces in Manipur", "Solve the insurgency issue of Manipur through political dialogue" and "Enforce international humanitarian laws in North East States and Manipur".

"Stop of influx of migrants in Manipur and stop import of intoxicants into Manipur" are the other slogans of the March, he added.

So far there has not been any problem or impedance to the march, Kangleipal said.

The march being participated by 500 volunteers will wind up at Imphal on April 27 .
