MPPDU to build Lainingthou Sanamahi Lainingkol and also stables for Manipuri ponies

Imphal, July 07 2019: With the main aim to protect the indigenous cultures and religion Manipur Proletariat Peoples' Democratic Union (MPPDU) along with its allied organization assured to build Lainingthou Sanamahi Lainingkol and stables for the Manipuri ponies named as "Langkol Yareksang" to protect the ponies of Manipur.

Speaking to media persons in a press meet held today at Manipur Dramatic Union, Yaiskul Convenor of Young Communist League (YCL) W.Kameshwar said that the new generation have arouse to protect the indigenous traditions. In order to built Sanamahi Lainingkol people have donated places at four location of Manipur, he added.

Dejecting on the conditions of Manipuri pony where Manipur being a birth place of Polo Kameshwar condemned that it was very unfortunate to let the pony in stray living at the road sides.

So in order to save the pony which has been taking a vital role in making history of Manipur, MPPDD along with its allied organizations which work under the ideas of Lamyanba Irabot namely Young Communist League, Socialist Woman Association, Socialist Students' Union of Manipur, Proletarian Feminist Movement and Young Pioneers of Manipur have decided to build a field for the ponies which was named as "Langkoi Hapung" and also stables named as Langkoi Yarekshang, he declared.

Kameshwar assured that they have planned to complete the building of Langkoi Hapung and Langkoi Yareksang on World Indigenous Day which is on August 9, 2019 .

He further said that several volunteers of MPPDU were ready to take care for the Ponies.

The volunteers will provide their volunteering work for taking care of the Ponies at free of cost, he added.

Kameshwar appealed the people to inform and give the pony to Langkoi Hapung from August 9, 2019 if anyone found it in destitute condition.

He also added that if the owner finds hard to feed the pony they can give it to Langkoi Hapung.

And all the necessary activities to take care of the pony will be done by the volunteers of MPPDU, he assured.

Regarding the construction of Lainingthou Sanamahi Lainingkol, Kameshwar declared that they plan to finish the construction in two years.

Two groups will be there for Laningthou Sanamahi Lainingkol where one group will be scholars of Sanamahi religion and other will be volunteers to build the Sanglen and other Sangtaps.

Kameshwar stressed that they will not take any donations from any National Political parties and its leaders and also from persons who gather wealth by looting the people.

He further appealed the people to take responsibility in preserving the unique culture, tradition and religion of Sanamahi and also to help in the activities done by MPPDU and its allied organization which followed the ideology of Lamyanba Irabot.

He concluded that the places where they will construct will be declared in the near future.
