Manipur lad to represent India in Asian MTB cycling championship

A 17 years old boy Khariksing Adonis Tangpu, a passionate cyclist from Manipur would represent India in U-18 category at the 25th Asian MTB Cycling Championship to be held at Keferdebian, Lebanon.
Khariksing Adonis Tangpu hails from Peh Village, Ukhrul reading in class XI is one among the eight selected cyclists to represent the country at the championship to be held from July 25-28 in Lebanon.
Adonis has outstanding achievements in cycling as he won two gold in the under 18 category during 15th MTB National championship held last year in Pune which paved him way to participate at the Asian Championship.

He was also a winner for under 14 cycling competition conducted by the Cycling Mysooru, Hubballi Cycle Club and National Cycling Federation.
Presently Adonis is being trained at Haldwani, Uttarakhand by team India.
According to him, he joint in the cycling Academy in 2015 and trained vigorously over the last couple of years.
It might mentioned that the family of Adonis has been struggling for financial instability to provide him with necessary standard equipment and accessories for the international event.
And at the same time, the support group for Adonis was also formed at the local level to patron and raise monetary aid for him for purchase of International standards bike worth lakh of rupees in order to hone his talents and to bring laurel to the country.
