Manipur storm into 1st NE Little Masters Trophy semis

Manipur crushed Sikkim by 9 wickets to cruise into the semifinals of the 1st NE Little Masters Trophy 2025 (for U-14 boys) today at Annexe Ground, ACA Stadium, Guwahati.
Manipur, having beaten Nagaland by 5 wickets, finished Group B runners up with the win against Sikkim today and will face Group A winners and hosts Assam in the first semi-final match on April 28 at ACA CA ground, Fulung, North Guwahati.
Sikkim won the toss and elected to bat first today.
They however got bundled out for 82 runs as Nongmaithem Lamnganba (3/14 in 6.2 overs) and Sagatpam Telheiba (2/15) shared a bulk of 5 wickets to stem the rot within 26.2 overs.
In reply, Manipur only lost Konthoujam Simon on 22 to Raunak Yadav before Tyrus Chabungbam 32 not out off 46 and Sagatpam Telheiba 17 not out off 16 finished off the chase in 13.5 overs.
Farhan Ahmad (1/5), Kh Firdos (1/12) and N Bidyananda (1/18) were also among the wickets for Manipur in the innings that saw Osum Chhetri 18 not out off 44 and Siddharth Sharma 17 off 34 topscoring for Sikkim.
Manipur skipper Nongmaithem Lamnganba was adjudged player of the match.
