Imphal, April 30 2024: As part of its ongoing community outreach programme, Maram Battalion AR organized a friendly volleyball match with local team at Khabung Karong Village, Senapati today.

The initiative aims to strengthen bonds with the local community and promote sports as a means of fostering goodwill and camaraderie, said PRO IGAR (E) in a statement.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both Assam Rifles personnel and local populace, it said.

In addition to the match, Assam Rifles presented sports items to the local team as a gesture to encourage and support sporting activities in the area, it said.

The locals expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for the positive impact it continues to impart on the community through such initiatives, it said.
