KSDO, AKSDO, TCMDC & WYC script wins in T-20 Trophy

Imphal, December 26 2023: SDO, AKSDO, TCMDC and WYC registered victories in Tuesday's fixtures of the 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy 2023-24.KSDO beat NCA by 4 wickets in their league match at Oriental College Ground.

They restricted NCA to 129/6 .

Bobby Yumnam scored 60 and Angom Robinhood Singh made 48 in their innings.

Shajahan shone with the ball for KSDO, taking 4 wickets while Khushru Pravez and Lakimbur picked up one wicket each.

In their response, KSDO completed the chase in 14.3 overs, scoring 131 for the loss of 6 wickets.

In the chase, Khushru Pravez top-scored for his team with 48, followed by Md Arif Khan (38), Tarique Aziz (18), Shajahan (5), Sangomshumpham Shah Nawaz (4 not out), Nawaz Sharif (3) and Abdul Rafique (2).For NCA, Shinoj Khwairakpam claimed 3 wickets, Angom Robinhood Singh grabbed two and Pukhrambam Hilbert Singh got one.

ASKDO, meanwhile, sealed a 5-wicket victory against YAC at Lairenjam Public Ground.

Asked to field first, AKSDO bowled out YAC for 85 in 19.5 overs and then they chased down the target in 15.5 overs.

It was a collective bowl ing effort by AKSDO that saw Akash Laishram, Rosan Laishram and Prameshwor Moirangthem snap 2 wickets apiece while Sanayai Ningthoujam, Laishram Rohit Singh and Winchelly Laishram bagged one each.

In YAC's innings, Abocha Laishram (23), Joychandra Singh Ngangom (16) and Singhajit Sharma (11 not out) were the only batters who could score in double digits.

In reply, AKSDO achieved the target in in 15.5 overs courtesy of Prameshwor Moirangthem (23), Winchelly Laishram (16 not out), Bishor-jit Mangang (13), Laishram Samson Meetei (13), Akash Laishram (10 not out) and Superjit Moirangthem (3).In their chase, the team lost 2 wickets to Joychandra Singh Ngangom, and one each to Chumthao Dk, Singhajit Sharma and John Singh Oinam.

TCMDC thrashed YWC by 10 wickets in their meeting at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.

TCMDC produced a lethal bowling performance to bundle out YWC for a meagre 56 in 16.1 overs.

Kongbrailatpam Kalyan Sharma stole the show, sca-pling 6 wickets as N Arbin picked up 2 wickets, and Huirongbam Babulu Singh and Thongam Tuljit Singh chipped in with one wicket each to lay the foundation for TCMDC's win.

TCMDC then needed 10.2 overs to knock off the runs with openers Maibam Asho-kumar (27) and Moirangthem Sunanda Singh (22) guiding their side to a huge victory.

WYC, on the other hand, defeated NAPSA by 41 runs in a low-scoring match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Electing to bat, WYC were all out for 97 in 16.5 overs as Mangi Sharma Gotimayum (24), Ruhit Nongmaithem (17) and Priyananda Thokchom (10 not out) were the only run-getters in double figures in their innings.

WYC, however, dished out a brilliant bowling attack to defend their total as they ended NAPSA's run chase in 18.3 overs for a mere 56 runs.

Heisnam Boney (18) was the only batter who got into double digits for NAPSA.

Huirongbam Biteshwor Singh emerged as the chief destroyer for WYC with a haul of 4 wickets, Borish Khomdram and Thoudam Roshankumar Singh claimed 2 wickets apiece, and Wanghkhem Laksmon Singh and Mangi Sharma Gotimayum contributed one wicket apiece in their triumph.

Earlier, Laishram Kipajan Singh took 3 wickets, Heisnam Boney and Nepram Richer Singh got 2 each, and Albert Sorokhaibam and Bipin Singh Ningthoujam bagged one each for NAPSA.
