Kakching denizens cheer 'Long March' participants

Kakching, December 26 2023:
Large number of people accorded warm welcome to participants of Manipur Youth League's (MAYOL) 'long march for National regeneration' in different areas of Kakching district.
The long march began from Kangla on December 20 will continue till January 9, 2024 .
On December 24, the marchers rallied from Kumbi assembly constituency under Bishnupur district towards Sugnu assembly constituency in Kakching district and rested the day at Laipham Youth Association (LYA), Wangoo Laipham ground.
The foot march was then flagged off by Wangoo Gram Panchayat pradhan L Sharat from the ground on Monday.
On the sixth day of the 21-day march, Baby Khumukcham Ngangoilembi of Kakching Khunou Umathel along with MAYOL convenor Asem Prince led the marchers carrying the message of 'National Regeneration' with the locals cheering the participants.
After felicitation by the people of Wangoo Laipham, Wangoo Tera Hodam Leirak, Lupa Marup, Wangoo Tera Mayai Leikai, Khokmakhong, Sandangkhong, Kashartabi, Pungjao-makhong, Chairel, Nungoo, Khongyam, Tangjeng Khunjao, Tangjeng Khunou, Chajingkhunou, Korshantabi and Pangantabi under Sugnu assembly Constituency, the marchers along with local meira paibis, clubs and organisations convened a meeting at Pangantabi and pledged to jointly fight all forces that are against Meetei society.
The rallyists after having their lunch at Pangantabi headed towards Wangjing Khunou and Umathel and they were again feted and blessed by the people of the area.
A meeting was then convened at Kakching Khunou Keithel and halted for the day at Kakching Khunou College.
On Tuesday, the procession began from the college and covered Waikhong, Thongjao, Elangkhanpokpi, Thounaojam, Yangdong and Langmeidong.
