USAIV Cup: Ziontlang, UBSA in men's final

Ziontlang and UBSA Mantak romped into the men's open football final, while Liwa Changning and UBSA set up veteran's title clash in the United Sourthern Area Inter Village Cup 2025 at UNAPAL Ground on Friday.
A dominant display from Lungir, who netted four goals, propelled Ziontlang to a resounding 7-1 victory over Old Wangparal in the first men's semifinal match.
Salemthang opened the scoring in the 10th minute, before an own goal from Old Wangparal doubled Ziontlang's lead five minutes later.
Lungir then struck twice in quick succession (25', 29'), further extending the advantage.
Aminte added another in the 36th minute, though Rengam managed a consolation goal for Old Wangparal.
However, Lungir was not done yet, completing his superb haul with two more strikes (47', 59') to seal a commanding win.
In the men's second semifinal, UBSA Mantak delivered a clinical performance, cruising to a 5-0 win over New Wangparal, thanks to a hat-trick from Naipa.
The forward opened the scoring with a quickfire double (11', 17'), before Singhneichung (30') and Soneingir (45') added two more before half-time.
Naipa completed his treble in the 48th minute, capping off a thoroughly convincing display.
Meanwhile, UBSA secured their place in the veterans' final with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Litan.
Ngamneiril led the charge with a brace, while L Angar and Khupneireng also found the net.
In the other semifinal, Liwa Changning advanced with a 3-0 win against Phunal Sambum, courtesy of goals from Konthang, Ngamsha and Phamshir.
