REYS steamroll PTRC by 9 wkts in 5th Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy opener

Imphal, April 22 2025: REYS scripted a resounding 9-wicket victory over PTRC in the opening match of the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy 2024-25, held at Model Hr Sec & Oriental College Ground.

REYS chased down a modest target with ease, showcasing exceptional batting performances.

PTRC, opting to bat first after REYS chose to field, posted a total of 128/8 in their 20 overs.

Despite a steady start, their innings faltered against a disciplined REYS bowling attack.

Ngariyanbam Jameson Singh top-scored with 38 off 29 balls, while Salam Richie contributed 29.However, Sapam Bikash Singh's brilliant spell of 3/15 in 4 Overs stifled PTRC's progress, supported by Ringku Kangujam (1/10) and Kiran Laishram (1/23) .

In reply, REYS made light work of the target, reaching 129/1 in just 15.3 overs.

Jaali Ahmed Chisti was the star of the chase, smashing 66 off 44 deliveries, including 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Captain Md Basir Rahman remained unbeaten on 52, guiding his team to a comprehensive win.

Tamarland Pheiroijam was the lone wicket-taker for PTRC, dismissing Chisti.
