State and Inter Dist TT C'ships concludes Ushakiran clinches men's singles title

The State and Inter District Table Tennis Championships, organised by the Manipur Table Tennis Association (MTTA) concluded today with Ksh Ushakiran lifting the men's singles title.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was attended by MP Dr T Meinya Singh, IW Police Superintendent Dr Ak Jhalajit Singh (IPS), MTTA president Dr Kh Loken Singh, District Table Tennis Association (DTTA), Imphal West president Ak Bijoy Singh, Imphal East DTTA president M Gojendra, Thoubal DTTA president L Ibochou Singh and Bishnupur DTTA Dr K Anand Singh as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
In today's men's singles final, Ksh Ushakiran (TBL) gave a crushing 4-0 (11-7, 11-6, 11-4, 11-9) defeat to Y Dinesh Singh (AG).

In the women's singles final, N Anna (TBL) downed I Monalisha (IW) 4-11, 11-8, 7-11, 14-12, 11-9, 13-11 .
In the youth event, Kh Bantakumar (IW) edged out K Rohit (IW) 4-3 to lift the youth boys' title while I Monalisha (IW) clinched the youth girls' title after defeating H Senorita (IW) 4-0 .
Kh Bantakumar (IW) claimed the junior boys' title after defeating K Kenao (IW) 4-1 while I Monalisha (IW) crushed H Senorita (TBL) 4-0 in the junior girls' final.
In the sub-junior boys' final, Thomas E (IE) downed S Heithoiba (IW) 4-1 while RK Chelsea claimed a 4-1 victory against H Senorita (TBL) in the sub-junior girls' final.
In the cadet boys' finals, H Roddy (IW) registered a comfortable 3-0 win against A Bairal (IE) while Y Lakhipiyari (IE) claimed a straight set (3-0) victory against H Geetalaxmi (IE) to clinch the cadet girls' title.
Men's singles winner and runner up Ksh Ushakiran (TBL) and Y Dinesh Singh (AG) were awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively while women's singles winner N Anna (TBL) and runner up I Monalisha (IW) received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and Rs 8000 respectively.
A cash prize of Rs 8000 and Rs 6000 were also awarded to the winners and runners up of boys' and girls' youth event.
The winners and runners up of junior boys and girls were awarded a cash prize of Rs 7000 and Rs 5000 .
