11 shortlisted for final selection for MU chess team

Imphal, December 08 2023: Manipur University (MU) has shortlisted 11 names from the MU Inter College Chess (M&W) Championship 2023-24 held recently at Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal.

The shortlisted names include Naoremcha Yohenba (KP College), Yumnam Gobin Singh (MU), Ningthoujam Vasu Singh (CIC), Naorem Tokyo Singh (MU), N Jameson Singh (Oriental College) and Rishi Ayam (Modern College) in the men's section, and Puyam Lanchebi (WMGC), Sanasam Frency Devi (WMGC), Puyam Priyaluxmi Devi (WMGC), Asem Arenika Chanu (WMGC) and Hao-bijam Sarika Chanu in the women's section.

They have been shortlisted for final selection, which will take place on December 12, 2023 at 11 am, for the upcoming East Zone Inter University Chess (M&W) Tournaments 2023-24 at USTM, Meghalaya.
