The All India Football Federation (AIFF) in association with Celebrity Managing Group (CMG) will organize the first ever North East Premier League at Imphal during February next year.
The Premier league is being organized with the mission to raise the level of Indian football and promote the diffusion of the game through the medium of professional football, to create a new football audience culture and market, with a vision to create world class sports infrastructure across North East India, to create sports club which spearheads all sporting activities in town and draws youths towards sports and mass participation.
Teams from all the North Eastern states including Sikkim will participate in the Premier League.
The Vice President of the All India Football Federation who is also the Managing Director of the CMG, Ankur Dutta held discussions about the proposed League with the officials of the All Manipur Football Association and football club officials of the State today.
