KCC, ESU script victories in 2nd Mema Devi Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket

Imphal, March 28 2025: ESU, Wangkhei and KCC, Kongba emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 2nd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Devi Memorial T-20 Veteran Cricket Tournament.

In the 22nd match of the tournament, ESU beat TCMDC, Thongju by 3 wickets as they crawled to winning 86 in 19.1 overs after bowling out TCMDC for 84 runs in 17.4 overs.

Shantikumar (4/13) and Premananda (3/16) of ESU led the bowling attack as TCMDC opted to bat first.

Somorjit 12 and Bijesh 17 were the only double digit run getters for ESU before Banikanta 31 and Robin 12 played key role to set up the ESU victory despite Jiten (4/17) and Sanjit (2/19) proving incisive for TCMDC .

Shantikumar of ESU who led the bowling attack was adjudged man of the match.

Later in the day, KCC restricted YAC, Yaiskul to 105/8 thanks to Devan (3/15), Sonjoy (2/9) and Bishorjit (2/28) and cruised to winning 106 in 13.4 overs with 5 wickets left to spare as Sanjit Sharma scored an unbeaten 50 off 36 balls.

Earlier in the first innings, Chitranjan scored 54 off 53 balls for YAC before Rupeschandra 2/15, James 1/20 and Rakesh 1/34 found their names among the wicket takers for the team.

Devan of KCC was declared man of the match.
