2nd Premier League 2025-26 : United Chandel FC blank AIM 3-0 in Group B opener

Imphal, April 28 2025: United Chandel FC (UCFC) cruised to a commanding 3-0 win against Anouba Imagi Mangal (AIM), Khabam Lamkhai in the 2nd Premier League 2025-26 Group B opener here at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium today.

UCFC got off to a flying start stringing a series of runs to test AIM defenders and raced to 2-0 lead within 35 overs before adding another goal in the second half to seal the game 3-0 .

K Alex Lamkang broke the deadlock after 34 minutes and Ahong Khiang Chothe doubled the advantage the very next minute to stun AIM.

After conceding two back to back goals , AIM beefed up their defence while occasionally trying to break through UCFC's defence line and cut the deficit.

Their attempt to score however did not yield result and to their disappointment, Thaokung Malching Chothe put UCFC further ahead with a beautiful goal in the 72nd minute.

UCFC put in more efforts to further extend the lead and AIM fought hard to pull back a goal in the remainder of the game but their efforts went abegging and eventually the Chandel team walked away 3-0 winners.

WAFA, Wangoi will play ABA, Kshetrigao in the next match (Group A) tomorrow at the same venue.

The match starts at 2.30 pm .
